Can my boat be worked on in its berth?
Dry berth boats should arrange with the workshop to carry out their works. In such a case the boat will be moved to the yard and operated on in here. If an outside contractor is working on your boat it should be moved by the tractor team to the designated works area.
Wet berth boats. Depending on the size and the nature of the job some works may be carried out in berth either by the workshop or outside contractor however the below list of jobs is not allowed:
- Welding, grinding or any rotary wheel based works or hot works
- GRP works or modifications
- Any painting/varnishing/oiling works to external surfaces.
